There are a lot more movies filmed in Detroit in the last few years, than what I listed. I only gave a sample of the high budget films.

Fwiw I do not live in Detroit, nor anywhere near it. My ties are closer to Chicago and I could care less about Detroit, however, I am not oblivious to the fact that the Michigan Film incentives has turn that city into a filming mecca. The IMDb sight list 915 Detroit films, going way back though.

Pittsburgh has an impressive list too. I tried to do a search for them to at the IMDb sight, but I could not get anything to come up under the category of Movie Locations in Pittsburgh. I somebody can find a way to get the full list, then that would be great. It would be good to see a fair comparison between the two cities.

Don't forget Drop Dead Diva and Teen Wolf were also filmed here.
I read the other day that over 30 TV series are currently being shot in Metro Atlanta. That surprised even me a little.

The Weather Channel, CNN (I think?), plus reality shows. Seems like a decent scene.

LOL! Yeppers ...

--Fiscal year 2013 saw record investment by 142 feature films and television projects. Economic impact statewide was worth more than $4 billion in 2013.*

* This has nothing to do with The Weather Channel or CNN.

Vancouver and Toronto. I've shot in both places a lot. Great crews without paying the outrageous rates that union workers charge. And New Zealand rocks, too.
