My state, Washington, calls them "corrections centers". Of course the public just calls them prisons.

We have "East Jersey State Prison" in Rahway, NJ. We also have "Bayside State Prison," "New Jersey State Prison," "Northern State Prison," and "South Woods State Prison." Others are officially called "treatment centers" or "correctional facilities," or something of the sort, we have 8 of those in comparison to the 5 prisons.

And btw I did not know this off the top of my head, I just looked it up because you made me curious.

The are no schools or hospitals any more, either. There are only attendance centers and medical parks. Language is no longer used to denote or identify things, only to spin them according to prevailing public relations objectives.
