Basically and there are many on this list that would fit much of the criteria.

I'd say you could make an argument for or against every one of them. As a student of cities I know a lot about almost all on that list . I also know you cannot function on assumption especially when it comes to cities. If you haven't experienced it first hand, you cannot assume. Perceptions and reputations last far longer than realities. I find that ignorance to be rampant on our fine little forum here.
