Michigan "MI" to "MC"
Missouri "MO" to "MI"
Louisiana "LA" to "LO"
Kentucky "KY" to "KT"

People are still mixing up Arkansas (AR), Arizona (AZ), and Alaska(AK). It pisses me off when I get a piece of mail with AK on it. This is nothing new people!

I would only change Louisiana, which gets confused with Los Angeles. Otherwise, I don't see any reason to change any of them.

I so understand North Pulaski point though. Alaska and Arkansas is always mixed up.

It seems simple, but it'll never happen because changing those state codes at this point in time isn't as easy as it sounds. It would create a software engineering panic similar to but not quite as expansive as Y2K.

I've always thought Hawaii should be HA or HW instead of HI.
