Can you name some cities that you believe are prominent for supply chain jobs like :
- Material Procurement
- Inventory planning
- Inside Sales and customer service
Ideally , the city shall have a strong economy with a diverse mix of manufacturing , distribution , after market , maintenance services
And a presence of multiple industries like , construction , energy , automotive , , aerospace ,engineering services
My vote goes for Houston and Dallas , what are your recommendations ?
I'd think the LA area and NJ area would be at or near the top. Major gateways for international container trade, hundreds of millions of square feet of warehousing and distribution center space, tens of thousands of jobs in transportation and warehousing, tens of thousands more in wholesale trade, logistics, etc. Energy is big in both regions too (not Houston/Dallas big though).
yes , right . But both L.A and N.J now are among worest job markets . may be the spply chian is good there , but no enough job creations to cater for high number of unemployed people , considering the population size and unemployment rates of the areas
