Now that I've been out West, it makes the entire eastern U.S. appear bland and old.

Although, I will admit, I don't understand why so many new homes out West are colored brown and beige. That just makes things look too brown. Why do they do that? It's weird.

But now after being out West for a week, I fell in love with the scenery and atmosphere. Now I want to move to Oregon or Nevada!

Here are all 55 photos I took out West with my phone (Moto X). Be sure to view them in FULL SCREEN by clicking the full screen button.

Then, I went up to Crater Lake, which was incredible. The moment I left Oregon into northern CA, it got sunny again.
That's because you were on the coast. Northern California near US-101 and CA-1 is very cloudy too.

Bland home colors are the pinnacle of neighborhood integrity, don't you know? .

Suburbia loves you.

I like your photos, by the way. Too bad you wouldn't have had the time for Highway 20 in WA, or Multnomah Falls in OR...but don't worry, there'll be plenty of time for that should you decide to flee the colonies.

Old yes, but bland....No.

But I will agree with you that the West truly is an enchanting place that I hope to explore more of someday.

I agree it is quite depressing to return to the east coast once you have been out west

I"m the opposite, have lived in West most of my life and never really ventured into eastern US. They are definitely different. But I prefer the wide open spaces of the west.

But the Pacific Northwest states have LOTS of greenery. So please stop saying that all of the West has a dead barren look. Also, the SLC area has plenty of greenery as well, and various parts of Idaho and California.

Day 1 drove from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City and spent the night

Day 2 drove from Salt Lake City to Kennewick, WA and spend the night

Day 3 drove from Kennewick, WA to Seattle, then down to Salem, OR and spent the night

Day 4 drove from Salem, OR down to Reno, NV and spend the night

Day 5 drove from Reno, NV to Las Vegas

So it actually took more like 5 days to do it.
