But the Pacific Northwest states have LOTS of greenery. So please stop saying that all of the West has a dead barren look. Also, the SLC area has plenty of greenery as well, and various parts of Idaho and California.
Lol, I can remember everyone telling YOU that. Do you still think of it as being "drab green"?
Gosh, if you had more time, you could've checked out the Hoh rainforest. Well, actually there's a lot of places to check out. Glad to hear you enjoyed the trip.

Lol yes...I mean, the majority of the West is quite yellow/brown. But the PNW has it's fair share of greenery too! Even this one section along I-84 near La Grande had lots of nice greenery and I LOVED it. Too bad there's no high paying jobs there.
IN GENERAL, I really, really love the West more than ever now. The scenery is very diverse and there's always an amazing, scenic view right around the corner. There's just so much space, big skies and it never gets boring. I'm sad that the vacation is over.
I love the West as well. I feel like I belong there. One day...

Connecticut is a great state to live in despite the cold.

It is also one of the top wealthiest states in the nation, for those who can hack it there that is.
