Not even close. The east has plenty of nice scenery don't get me wrong, but there's really no comparison. Essentially, every single scenic natural feature you could imagine in the east exists out west in equal or better form with two notable exceptions: fall color in New England isn't replicated out west (although the aspens are gorgeous), and the landscape of the coastal swamps (everglades/okefenokee/bayou country of Louisiana) can't be found out west.

Uh this thread isn't which scenery is better, it is do people find the east more attractive, and plenty do.
Because as evidenced by this thread, most people find them beautiful.
I was also showing greenery, fall foliage, and lakes in those same mountain pics. It's not just about the mountains. If it were up to me I would have picked all beach pictures from all around the whole East Coast but I know people wouldn't have found them dramatic enough so I'm trying to accommodate various perceptions of beauty. I think mountains can be very pretty, I just don't prefer them.
Well, of course, the other beach pictures are going to be in part II when you show us DE, MD, VA, NC, SC, GA and FL. Don't forget the Great smoky Mountains.

I was going only with the northeast, as I know it much better than the southeast. I feel like I cannot show the best of an area I don't know as well.
Does anyone from the southeast want to contribute pics of their own region?
