I just saw a McDonald's TV commercial for "breakfasts with a Southern sizzle." Among the items advertised: Two southern-style chicken biscuits for $2.

Do they sell these at Mickey D's up north?

I'm betting yes. Remember that Southern Chicken sandwich they used to offer? Or maybe they still do. All it was was a chicken patty with a pickle on it. LOL

YEP, the McDonald's "southern chicken sandwich" was, in fact, a cheap imitation of Chick-fil-A ... right down to the seasoning.

But I was mistaken about the TV ad. They show a bunch of breakfast items cooking and then say, "Breakfast served with a Southern accent ... At McDonald's."

Speaking of McDonald's ... the jalapeño burger they have now is fantastic! But I was told it's going away soon
to make way for the McRib, which comes around every holiday season.

Awesome that you mentioned it (it seems I like your posts more and more each day)! That Jalapeno burger is good, but tastes like NOTHING you'd get at McD's. It was a weird experience. I want more spicy options from them. Their spicy chicken they had years ago to compete with Wendy's was pretty good. Nothing beats the flatbread they offered many years ago, though. Best McD's item ever.

Looking forward to Monopoly which starts soon!

It's "HAV e de GRACE."

Or at least that's how everyone from there said it when I lived a few miles from there.

Never seen it. Generally chains like McDonalds sell crap versions of regional food back to the region, they don't try to export it to other regions unless it's a national product. Hence "brats" at McDs here, and likely not in CA or MS or NY. "Southern-style" biscuits sold in the south but not in the north, etc. There are exceptions, but this is generally the case.
