Texas is more steak and Ribs... Chicago is more of polish sausage... San Fran is Chinese food, New York hits me with Pasta not pizza, Maine hits me with clam chowder not Boston.... I don't know, Texas could also pass with Tex-Mex... I don't know about MaryLand, Philly is philly, Idaho is potatoes, New Orleans is Po Boys, Seattle doesn't make me think of food, it makes me think of that cool space ship looking thing...
Miami makes me think of a Margarita idk why. New Orleans makes me think of shrimp too as does Texas' Gulf not any city in general. LA makes me think of that california pizza thing you see at airports.. as does San Diego. and Hawaii makes me think of Pineapples

just IMO... hehe

Wow. LA makes you think Pastrami? You must have had a really good experience with pastrami in LA because I lived in LA for 2 years and I'm not sure I ever had it there. You are right on with San Francisco and and Miami though. But if Detroit has a place called Coney Islands, then it should be NY that should make you think Hot Dogs, not Detroit, IMO. Good list though.
