Okay so first of all, I want to move to accomplish my streaming dream on Twitch.tv (A game streaming website) No questions there. Second I want to move to a city, Im moving away from Philadelphia because of the internet costs and quality of living if I want to move out my parents house, the neighborhood I would have to move to would legit be dangerous. Anyways

I want a city where natural disasters barely happen, it can happen but maybe on a smale scale or something. Low-medium crime, Low crime would be like Provo, UT. Medium crime would be like Charlotte, NC or something around there. No high crime cities like Philly/Chicago, even if they do have good neighborhoods, anyways, I can pay up to about 500-600 a month with no problem. I don't mind winter time, etc.

The real problem is, which I need help on, is I need a city with good internet service!!! Maybe 50/100 Mbp/s download and 20-40 Mbp/s upload speed. I don't watch Cable either, so just pure internet service. Since I'm not moving like... RIGHT NOW... I can wait about 1 year or 2. Anyways in that time...

Google Fiber is going to be available later on around

Anyways I'm black and this is what I want basically.

If there's any cities on the Google Fiber (Google Fiber is a internet provider with very fast internet for cheap prices) list (The picture up top), that you recommend for me, being black and want like a low/medium crime city with everything up there ^^^^^

Obviously something like Provo, UT, wouldn't fit me. (Race Issues)

Do you have any of your own recommendations of the cities up there on the list or any of your own?

Red means potential, green means its already available there. I don't mind if you list the potential cities.

Thanks in advance.

I hear great things about Kansas City and it certainly has the cost of living you're looking for and have heard crime can be high in some places, but think most of the areas you listed are considered to be desirable neighborhoods. The truly unknown (to me) would be the race issue which seems like it could be a factor given the state and area of the country. Otherwise to broach that possible glitch it would seem Atlanta would be the best bet in my opinion if the internet situation can be addressed.

Are these the only places you are looking into, OP? Austin may fit and as mentioned up above, parts of KC may be a good fit as well. Atlanta, Raleigh-Durham, Nashville and Charlotte would work as well. With Portland, parts of NE and perhaps Gresham could work in that area. Parts of San Antonio could work as well and maybe the South Side and nearby suburbs of Salt Lake City too. Basically, you could probably find your niche in almost all of those areas listed.

Also, I don't know if I'm reading your post right, but you may be interested in something like this: Making Magic | Syracuse New Times
