Thank you guys! In KC I have lived for most of the time. Now time to move on and explore some new parts of this great country. My car just broke down, so I need to figure out quickly if I am buying a new one, or if I am buying a one-way plane ticket to Puerto Rico and settle there for unknown amount of time.

As I mentioned, I want to escape the winter too. No doubts, that KC has some Spanish communities, but will I totally immersed? I don't think so. Puerto Rico might give me that option while still keeping my residency in the United States.

It would definitely be a nice place to spend the winter. I visited once, and I really liked it there. I'd like to go back.

Why not someplace in Texas like the Rio Grande Valley or Laredo?

Southern California, especially inner-city Los Angeles, some parts are 80-90% first generation Hispanic.

Puerto Rico, Southern California and Southern Florida would probably be your best options.
