Texans and Oklahoman's are still mostly the same people. people celebrate the same holidays, people mostly eat the same foods (texans have more options however) people watch the same sports, listen to the same music, watch the same tv shows and movies, same language.

Texan conservatives are similar to Oklahoman conservatives... Texan liberals are similar to Oklahoman liberals. they all debate the same issues, vote for Republicans and Democrats and share the same views.
It seems like you are essentially saying that all of America pretty much has the same culture. There is some truth to that, but the point that JJG and I were making is that Oklahoma and Texas are not directly similar in most areas.

I see Oklahoma as a largely Southern state, with its rural leanings, cotton and Baptist culture, but also with a little bit of the Midwest, with its wheat culture in the northwest part of the state through the Panhandle..

Ha!

I think it's fair to say that Oklahoma will always be on the winning side of that game/series....like virtually every other team not named USC.

Glad that Texas Christian finally earned its keep!

....you're being pretty broad about this.

Answer this.

Let's take the largest cities in both states. Let's say a Democratic, liberal, openly lesbian ran for mayor in both Houston and Oklahoma City.

Which city does she have the better chance of becoming mayor?
An openly gay man, McAffrey was the first openly LGBT person elected to serve in the Oklahoma Legislature.

Folks in Texas seem to be more friendly and polite, Texans have a lot more state pride than Okies. Just saying.

Lake Eufaula is a very big lake in Oklahoma. From its most southern tip to its northern tip is a spread of about 45 miles.

Good for him.

Texas already beat them to something like this, though...
