Alright, I'm with you on pretty much all of this, but what lush palms are you talking about? Been to Seattle quite a few times and have never seen a palm tree. Not one.

Windmill palms grow in Seattle. Then again I'm pretty sure they can grow in Norway too.
The only falsehood in my OP was that Seattle receivers "powerful tropical rays". Everything else is 100 percent true. Shows how you can speak complete truth and still be BSing people.

Those winds are not tropical, maybe in origin, but by the time they get up so far North as Seattle they are certainly not tropical.
Sacramento and the Bay Area get the same Pineapple Express "tropical winds" and we know better than to pretend that they are "warm tropical winds". If NorCal is not considered sub-tropical, than Seattle certainly is NOT.

That really isn't a "warm tropical wind" at all but rather a river of atmospheric moisture from Hawaii that brings a lot of rain and many times bad floods when it combines with mild temps that cause higher snow levels and rapid snow melt. It's not something to really brag about lol.

Sacramento and the SF Bay Area has warmer winter lows than Seattle and Atlanta in the winter, none of which are "sub-tropical". People from Florida, and the Southwest think we are "cold" in the winter, so Seattle and Atlanta must be "freezing" by their standards. It's really about one's perspective.
