Uh huh. All of these cities are in the Top 13 in terms of international tourism -- DC and Boston are in the top 10. Doesn't exactly indicate that international tourists "don't care" about these cities.

It's always helpful to rely on actual facts.
Notice that Orlando and Vegas come before DC. Kind of proves our point there that Vegas is more popular than DC or Boston.

Interesting that DC + Boston < Orlando.

I was responding to the argument contending that DC, Boston and Philly do not receive any interest from overseas travelers. Popularity/ranking is another issue entirely.

While I acknowledge that Vegas and Orlando are tops in visitation (which is not shocking to anyone, since both cities pretty much only serve the purpose of being massive tourist traps), clearly international travelers to the US are also interested in other cities. Hosting hundreds of thousands of overseas visitors in one year is impressive for any city.

That was not your original argument, don't twist your words now that someone has proven you wrong with factual data

This is definitely true in my experience. We have hosted a number of Europeans in our house over the years. Not a single one has gone to DC. The top seem to be NYC, SF and Miami.

The monuments are better in European cities than DC as well.

Vegas is all about naive pigs going to the slaughter to have the house take all their money.

I wonder how this thread would play out in the world forum? I think that's probably where it should have been posted.
