How else was one supposed to interpret that? No, you didn't say verbatim that it's all suburbia and strip malls, but it is kind of implied.

No, it wasnt implied.

What was implied that to think that Dallas is suburbia and strip malls but Houston is urban and iconic is baboonishly moronic.

Who said that? I must have missed that post. I agree with you there, though. Usually I agree with most of your posts, so perhaps I missed out on the original context. If that's the case, then I apologize.

It actually is iconic as the birthplace of the American mass produced automobile.

And (for better or for worse) a symbol of urban decay.

New York City
Los Angeles
Miami
San Francisco
Las Vegas

Considering the list that Davy-040 presented. People go to Orlando to go to Disney World not the city itself. People go to Honolulu to visit the Hawaiian Islands not the city itself. I wouldn't include DC, Chicago or Boston in this list.

And maybe, just maybe Boston, NO, Atlanta, and Seattle,
But that's a push.

People(at least in the UK) have heard of most American cities, but have limited to no
Mental image of them.

You include Las Vegas but not DC?
