I am a 63 year old (soon to be) single white male, retired, looking for a milder than PA climate. Like to golf, fish, and hunt - in that order.

A possible good singles area for my age bracket is a plus.

I do not want to bring any snow related equipment with me ! And Vegas is too hot for me but being within driving distance would not hurt !

Money is not an issue, but not sure I want to burn through it fast as in CA.

Would start out renting, not buying.

Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance to all.

All three of those cities have cold winters with snow, though Albuquerque is the mildest.

St. George, Utah, would be a fit if it didn't get so blasted hot in the summer.

Grand Junction, Colorado, might work if you don't mind a couple chilly months and an average of 19" of snow per year. You'd only be about 8 hours from Vegas and close to prime elk hunting & fishing territory.

Prescott, AZ--tolerant, open-minded people with a live-and-let-live attitude; no one cares what religion you are, who you sleep with, where you're from. Active, outdoors-oriented population--lots of people hike, bike, camp, fish, hunt, garden, kayak, horseback-ride, etc. Nature and the environment in general are very important and well-respected, unlike in the South. Very safe/low crime. Beautiful natural scenery and plenty of trees/greenery (if that's your thing--it's most people's). Very low humidity, lots of sunshine. On the warmer side, but has all four seasons and doesn't get extremely hot like the low desert areas (i.e., Phoenix, Tucson). Doesn't get too cold either, esp. compared to the Midwest, Northeast, and Upper South. They get some snow in the winter, but not much. It's got a cute little downtown and reasonable home prices. You can drive to Phoenix for things you really need on occasion--higher-end shopping, fine dining, pro sports, travel, more culture. It's also close to Flagstaff if you want more snow, mountains, winter sports, etc. as well as Sedona and the Grand Canyon for some of the most breathtaking natural scenery in the United States.

Stay away from Florida.. you might want to try Arizona or Southern California is you have the money.. Florida is too humid and the retirees are super rude where my grandparents lived in Boca Raton.

People can be rude in Boca Raton, but it's a microcosm of the entire state which is quite large..
