Im Afro-Brazilian and grew up in Chicago and moved to Miami a few years ago. Aside from my family I have only met few Brazilians. 2-4 at my old school in Chicago and only 1 here in Miami. Where is the greatest concentration of Brazilians in the US? I know New York is one of them.

Most likely, New Jersey will have a high concentration of Brazilians, as well as the Boston area.

San Diego, CA has a large concentration in the Beach areas.

The Brazilian day festival here is huge and Brazilian culture has become pretty popular in the coastal areas.

There are areas/apartments where you hear Portuguese spoken often.

There is also a sizable population of Brazilians in the Atlanta area, particularly around Marietta.

Yeah, eastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island and parts of Connecticut came to mind right away due to these areas having a strong Lusophone diaspora from Cape Verde, the Azores and Brazil. New Jersey is up there too.

My in-laws came here from Brazil in the 1960s. They are from Rio Grande do Sul and are of German background. The other Brazilians that they know are concentrated in New York, New Jersey, and here in Southern California.

I don't know about greatest concentration but I'm from Florida originally and there great concentrations of Brazilians all around the state. Especially in areas such as Orlando and SW Florida. Connecticut has a good sized community of Brazilians as well.
