The southern parts of the state, especially the bootheal are completely southern. It does make sense to move it IMO.
Missouri is not more Southern than Midwestern. Opposite way around. The northern half of the state is solidly Midwestern, the upper southern quarter transition and the Southernmost quarter of the state is the South.

Only your part of Missouri and Southeast Missouri are Southern. The state is overall Midwestern.

Somewhere around the Nebraska/Colorado/Kansas corners is the middle of the country.... Southeast & Southwest Missouri are in the South both geographically and culturally.

Missouri, outside of St. Louis has a Southern vibe while the heavily populated areas of Maryland have a Northeastern vibe.

I would move Delaware, Maryland and NOVA to the Northeast...most of Missouri to the South and give St Louis to Illinois and keep it in the Midwest.

Lmao

Kansas City, Columbia, and most of the state doesn't feel Southern at all. Do you even travel?

It is a mixture of the South and Midwest for the most part, with areas south of I-70 being significantly more southern influenced overall compared to anywhere in the Midwest along and north of I-80.
