Surprised that this guy and his friends weren't on the list....people still ask about him 70 years later
(even in the states).

I was thinking Liverpool, but like you, I think I may be wrong.

Edit: You were right.

Buzzfeed did it again this year. Apparently they are planning to make it a Thanksgiving tradition to ask people in their London office to fill out a map of the US states. I don't think they did near as good this year.

Some of those were hilarious.

It is interesting how many people think New York is in the South (or at least the Chesapeake area).

The one who did movies/TV shows is not only culturally literate but pretty geogrphically sharp as well.

And finally I like how the one with the worst map totally deflected by calling out how Americans can't name British counties. Which, since they are undergoing revision, becoming obsolete, and such isn't really fair. I do know all the pre-conquest Anglo Saxon kingdoms, though. even little Hwicce.

Honestly, I only know a handful of English counties, but general regions, rivers, and cities I could do fairly well at, I bet.

The Britons seem to get Iowa and Idaho mixed up even more than Americans do.

The stuff on the map really isn't that disingenuous. It all seems like friendly ribbing.

British people know Georgia is home to "Forrest Gump, zombies, golf, REM and Outkast." That's not bad!
