It would be hard to believe that there is a city more greedy with traffic tickets than Pine Lawn, Missouri.

There are a couple towns in-between Jacksonville-Gainsville-Tampa Florida that were rated at the top by AAA. One of those towns (Waldo) was just shut down by the state after the officers came out with proof the chief was demanding a quota.

The PPA is pretty awful-they sure are profitable and efficient though.

Parking Wars - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Apparently only the first season of Parking Wars was to be set in Philadelphia-but because of the amount of footage they did the first 5 Seasons there.

But speeding tickets seem kind of rare in Philly-the police are pretty lenient on that front.

Yeah, but at least when I lived there, it definitely varied by location. In University City, if you parked 1 foot closer to the corner than the required minimum, you would be ticketed. (And no, I'm not exaggerating.) But in South Philly? You could double park, or park in the crosswalk, or on the sidewalk, or in a driveway, or in the median of Oregon Avenue, or pretty much anywhere you darn well pleased, anytime of the day or night, with near-total impunity.

Are you talking the amount of the fine itself?

I once got a ticket in Vegas for an illegal U-turn... $240 FOR AN ILLEGAL U-TURN.

And Highland Park, MI.

Only the state police are allowed to run radar in Pennsylvania. That's probably why.
