Its the kind of winter where its painful just standing outside, your boogers are freezing, car makes a funny noise when you start it...

It's going to "warm up" next week however...

Right now it's 10 degrees here in Norwalk, CT and I don't care one bit. I'm in a heated apartment enjoying comfortable 74-degree temps, having fun playing Wii U and chatting on Facebook.....and making posts on C-D.

And all I know is that in just 4 months I won't need a jacket anymore and it will be beautiful, lush green outside, the beaches will open and I can go hiking.

It's 9 degrees in Northern VA tomorrow morning and it has been snowing for the past few days. The roads are very icy but Im good at driving in the snow cause I lived in Boston for awhile. Although many Virginians are like chickens running around without heads.

Its -8 out with a windchill of -26.

On top of that its snowing all day, every day due to lake effect.

For those of you that think you have it bad in Minnesota and elsewhere around the Plains, you don't.

Both places get frigid but you don't get nearly the amount of snow. Pretty sure Upstate gets double the amount.

Old Forge, NY and the Adirondacks are the coldest part of the contiguous 48 right now.

**** Upstate NY.

20 miles south of the Canadian border- 45 degrees, calm and partly cloudy out. Tomorrow is supposed to be 50 and partly sunny again. Not that it should be surprising, but as a recent transplant from CO I can report that this area is for the most part astoundingly mild and pleasant, sometimes only fluctuating 5-10 degrees between highs and lows.

Near the central part of the border of PA/NY it is 0 right now.

I'm moving to Phoenix soon and it was in the 70s there today, so hopefully this time next year I won't be so miserable.
