1. 'culture' by white people who rarely venture outside of egg noodles ketchup, and alcohol is not a good litmus test for a city's culture. Ask some ethnics.

There is no universal "best place". We are all individuals who will be happy in different environments.

Another one is even if you provide tangible information, you will still have people that won't believe it or will plead ignorance, even when it is an unbiased/universal source.
I am not a real doctor in a strictly "legal" application of that term, maybe that's something I should disclose when dispensing advice and issuing prescriptions in the medical forum, but posting it here should do the trick I'd think. Leastwise, my fake attorney would probably appreciate this disclaimer.
Just relocating to a city that has a reputation of being "cool" won't make a person cool. Likewise a dorky rep won't instantly make anyone a nerd either. Chances are those reputations are bogus to begin with.
No one city can possibly have the "best" anything over all other cities. "Best" is subjective. If someone is asking as to whether or not certain specific features can be found in a city, a better way of putting it would be to ask how would they rate in comparison to other cities.

Tell that to lemmings who have moved to "a hip place," or "a cultured place," or "the middle of everything," though. I think we've all experienced quite a bit of this in the real world...
1. I don't know if it's just the internet, but there is a definite liberal bias here.
2. Relating to 1, San Francisco IS NOT the pinnacle of human civilization.
3. Most people in the US drive cars, public transport is pretty much irrelevant.
I think it has more to do with political affiliation. Too me, this site has a conservative bias, especially when you go onto the politics and current events forums, tons of hardcore conservative blokes there.
Here's another disclaimer that will let you know that a city vs city thread is sliding into a petty flame war:

Basically stuff of that nature....It often displays the maturity of some of the posters on C-D. It's adorable sometimes
