Mid 20s looking for new start tired of the same old BS.

I work in an industry I can work anywhere in the U.S basically.

Can't find a city that I feel fits me and I need help.

Rent price $800 or below in a not grimey ass ****hole lol or drug infested neighborhood where I can expect to see police lights on consistently.

Big gay scene

Hiking or nature adventures and museums are a big plus.

Expecting to make around $25k but I don't need much just a roof over my head.

Although I have a nice car I'm still paying off I desire walk ability big time.

Climate is not a big factor but prefer mild climate and low humidity but I can deal with w.e

So basic is walkability, big gay scene and parks or some outdoors life and museums with a lower cost of living mainly rent.

Open to wherever

Walkability as one of your primary criteria along with $800 a month rent on a 25K salary makes your choices kind of small. The only cities I can think of that fit in terms of compact walkable neighborhoods, a lower cost of living and that have a sizable gay community would be cities like New Orleans, St Louis, Atlanta and Cleveland. I would suggest giving St Louis a good look as it would offer you the best all-around in my opinion.

You are looking for your own apartment for $800 and live in a walkable area? Yeah, that's going to be hard to find. If you were willing to have a roommate, then you could find that pretty much anywhere.

I price myself at the low end of the spectrum as far as salary in order not to max myself out; also $800 rent is roommate included if needed.

Also would like good dog parks.
