Hi, im looking for a east coast near the ocean mild winter and not too much humidity. Im going to graduate nursing school in June . Im going to be a nys lpn. My husband and I have bad arthritis and cannot take the cold weather anymore. We want a city rhat is great to raise children, we have 2 high schoolers and a toddler. My husband also has asthma. Somewhere with a good economy. No urban area. I'm tired of ghetto cities. Looking for suburban where the kids play witheach other on the street. And the neighborhood is safe with a park. Where the neighbors say hi to each other . We probably will need to rent first. Or a rent to own home. I want to wake up to fresh air and the sound of the ocean but if not the han a 15-20 min away is fine too. I have been searching for over 6 mos. We are american born bangladeshi's ( from bangladesh/ south east asia) so ppl of that community would be great and we have to have a mosque in the city not too far like 15 mins. THANK YOU inadvance and pls no negative comments.

OP- you might really start to do some serious research. You have a laundry list of wants , some of which aren't going to be able to be met. Thus after you research, you're going to have to prioritize.

Mild winters on the East Coast usually means VA & south. I did a quick internet search and found just one mosque near the water in VA. It's in Hampton, VA. ( population 137,000 +/-)

In NC, there are none near the ocean. In SC- just one in Charleston. In FL, there are several. However, as in SC, they are in large to good sized cities.

If allergies are a concern, the East Coast is not the greatest place to live for most people.

I'm sure you can find some people from Bangladesh here and there throughout the country, but the major population of that group is in NYC & NJ.

If a mosque is a priority, then maybe your best bet is start looking in Florida. The majority of the mosques there are in coastal cities. Perhaps you could find small towns outside of the cities themselves to live that would be commutable.

I'm pretty sure "little humidity" pretty much rules out Florida. Really it rules out the whole east coast but especially Florida.

There's only around 147,000 Bangladeshi-Americans across the entire U.S. A third of the total population lives in NYC. After that Patterson, NJ has the biggest community. You're simply not going to find a Bengali community of similar size anywhere else in the country, although there are at least sizable communities in Los Angeles and Dallas.

Perhaps somewhere in Delaware like Newark or communities outside of Wilmington. There's this organization nearby: Home Page - BADV

Check out Jacksonville FL which has a sizable East Asian population and large medical community. The suburbs of St Johns County just to the south of town has the best school district in the state, check out the neighborhoods of Julington Creek, Nocatee, Ponte Vedra, Ponte Vedra Beach and Durbin Crossing. Lastly the air quality is quite good along the NE Florida coast (among the cleanest in the US) which should help with your husband's asthma. Many asthmatics find that being closer to the beach helps considerably with the salt air, so perhaps Ponte Vedra Beach would be your better option.
