Hi, im looking for a east coast near the ocean mild winter and not too much humidity. Im going to graduate nursing school in June . Im going to be a nys lpn. My husband and I have bad arthritis and cannot take the cold weather anymore. We want a city rhat is great to raise children, we have 2 high schoolers and a toddler. My husband also has asthma. Somewhere with a good economy. No urban area. I'm tired of ghetto cities. Looking for suburban where the kids play witheach other on the street. And the neighborhood is safe with a park. Where the neighbors say hi to each other . We probably will need to rent first. Or a rent to own home. I want to wake up to fresh air and the sound of the ocean but if not the han a 15-20 min away is fine too. I have been searching for over 6 mos. We are american born bangladeshi's ( from bangladesh/ south east asia) so ppl of that community would be great and we have to have a mosque in the city not too far like 15 mins. THANK YOU inadvance and pls no negative comments.

I would recommend checking out the Oldsmar/East Lake area northwest of Tampa. It has a significant population of East Asians (Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi), good air quality and usually consistent breezes off of the Gulf of Mexico or Tampa Bay, excellent public schools and family-friendly neighborhoods with a ton of parks/youth recreational opportunities, it's 15-20 minutes to Honeymoon Island Beach (named as one of the best beaches in the US), about the same distance to the mosque in the town of Dunedin, and in close proximity to jobs in the Tampa or Clearwater areas.

Nowhere. If you don't want humidity go out west.

At immediate coastal areas of most of the East Coast humidity is offset by the ocean breeze so it feels cooler and drier. On the Jersey Shore you can even sometimes turn the air off and leave the windows open, and it actualy tends to get chilly enough at night to need a light sweatshirt. Winters are also milder at the immediate coast. In areas that get snow, again I will use NJ as an example, the immediate coast usually gets rain instead. Temps are generally milder or feel that way due to the effect of the ocean.

Anywhere on the east coast is in the strike zone for hurricanes. Yes, Sandy was bad, but a track variation of 10 miles and it would have stayed at sea.
Part if the problem, as with Katrina, was that preparations were incomplete, warnings were ignored by both officials and residents and the belief that "it can't be as bad as they say, they're just trying to scare us" was rampant.

This is one of the downsides of living near the Atlantic ocean (gulf of Mexico included) As far as the OP wanting low humidity, well I think that is out too. The eastern US is humid, not really anyway to avoid that. The west coast may be a better choice for someone who does not like humidity. San Diego maybe???
