I asked this question on here the other day, but didn't get nearly as many replies as I was looking for so I wanted to try again. Here is my post:
I currently live in Arizona and have lived here for 4 years now. Anyways, I am in the process of looking to move sometime in the future and am keeping my possibilities open to where the future takes me. However, I am looking for a place to live where the people are friendly and down to earth and somewhere that has all four seasons.
I am particularly interested in Oregon, Texas (although I understand it doesn't have all four seasons), Michigan, Georgia, and a couple other places. I originally grew up in Colorado and lived there for 18 years before having some issues with family so I am not looking to move back there as they still reside there.
Therefore, I wanted to see if some of you could tell me cities that might be a perfect fit for what I am looking for. I would like a city that is not necessarily rural or metropolitan, but something in between that is also not super crowded like Phoenix. That is one reason why I do not enjoy living here in Phoenix is because of all the traffic throughout the year. Also, like I said before somewhere that has different weather and seasons, friendly people, and preferably somewhere that has a promising job market outlook.
Thank you for your help in advance and I look forward to seeing your responses!
Take a look at NW Arkansas. It is home to 3 Fortune 500 companies (including the Global Fortune #1), has plentiful outdoor activities, an upbeat vibe, and a great economic outlook.
The metro is just over 500k, growing steadily, but mostly feels like the suburbs of a big city, minus the big city. Four-season climate here with lots of nature.
