Actually, Minnesota and the Dakotas have among the fastest growing Black populations in the USA(in percentage points anyway) and Blacks are starting to go out to places like St. Cloud and Duluth.

Something else. Mississippi is the most rural state in the nation. Guess what? It has the highest proportion of Blacks in the nation. In fact, the South has the highest concentration of rural Blacks in the USA. One might want to think about that for a moment.

The state as a whole would have a hard time becoming majority minority, however, so I agree with it's inclusion.

Personally, I'd say those Northern Plains and Inter-Mountain Western states will remain largely anglo. Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Nebraska, Kansas, North & South Dakota.

Growth is happening in all of these states, particularly North Dakota due to the Bakken boom, but it shouldn't affect demographics in the entire state too much.
we're not talking about 'anglos'
were talking about white Americans

I hate the term 'Anglo'
Most white Americans are not anglos, including myself, im a polish American

Immigration from Latin America has more or less come to an end in net terms. Within two generations the current Hispanic and Asian populations will be so intermarried with the white population that current notions of race and ethnicity will be obsolete.

Maybe if we were the size of Germany. The same factors that lead to speciation also help to keep us diversified: physical separation.

A lot of people don't realize how large the Hispanic populations have become in rural western Kansas, or that Wichita has a very large Vietnamese population for its size. Kansas is just slightly more than three-quarters non-Hispanic white these days.

Nope, the multiracial population will never grow that big, you just think everyone is going to have sex with each other and all of our problems are going to go away ?

If they start counting white Hispanics as white, then maybe the white majority can live a little longer....but of course, America being America only views you as white if you are a WASP, sadly.

All in all, I say some parts of the Midwest will stay white

I think that only northern SMALL towns will stay mainly Caucasian. The reason is because (1) "small" means that job opportunities are limited, and (2) the northern U.S. is cold, and it has been my observation that although "blacks" don't mind the cold, many newly arrived Mexicans are uncomfortable whenever the temperature is below 80 degrees.

Personally, although race is not an "issue" for me, socioeconomic class is! I would much rather live next to a middle-class Hispanic or "black" family than a 100% Caucasian family who has been on welfare for generations.

P.S. I personally hate the terms "white" and "black" -- when was the last time you saw either a person the color of copy paper or the the color of onyx? I will be glad when we stop identifying people by the color of their skin altogether.
