scan this list to see the per capita income for all counties in NYS.
NYS okay, but I thought you were talking the whole metro.

Exactly, you are proving his point. Your list is excluding NJ and Conn suburbs that are even richer. Most NYC suburbs are not located in New York State. Only Westchester, Long Island, and a few other counties north of Westchester are included in NYC suburbs, thats not a lot of people at all. NJ alone has 12 counties that count as NYC suburbs...

Wrong.

Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, Orange County, Putnam County, Dutchess County in NYS are considered suburbs of NYC too. There are indeed suburbs of NYS that belong to NYS. This is what I'm trying to be clear on.

I am not arguing about how many NJ or CT suburbs there are to NYC. Never said a thing like it. I even went so far as providing the link that proves it. Go back and review my posts. I am not arguing about the "wealth" of these suburbs of NYC. I am simply trying to impart there are suburbs that belong to NYC that are actually in NYS and not just NJ and CT.

Yes there are other suburbs of NYC that are located in Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania (yes) but we can not diminish the size of NYS to make a point about the suburbs of NYC.
