Hello everyone.

I am a young black woman, 26 to be exact. I am looking to relocate to another city, I currently reside in Rochester NY. I am ready to move so bad. I can't stand the drawn out winters, the violence and the close minded people.

I have no clue on where I should go. I would prefer east to mid coast to be closer to my family when I want to visit. I have been going back and forth from North Carolina to Texas to Georgia and I just don't know.

I have an associate's degree in business. I am currently pursuing my nursing degree but I'm not sure about that either, now that there is no longer a shortage. But basically the ideal city would have mild weather, job opportunities and have a diverse population. I know I would have to be entry level and that's fine. I am single with no kids. And at this point, either I find a city to start over in or I'm joining the military come fall.

Please feel free to list any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

There is still a shortage of nurses and it's forecasted to continue in about 1/3 of the country, primarily in the Southeast and West. To continue going to nursing school in an affordable area with mild weather and decent employment options, I would recommend cities like Charleston SC, Columbia SC and Savannah GA.

Charlotte, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas would all be fine for you. Also, the Raleigh area.
