Interesting thread. The only city in NC with over 40k residents that I've never been to is Greenville, NC.
It's not a city, but it's surprising, even to me given that I've traveled all over the U.S. a lot in my 55 years of life, I've never to NC's Outer Banks. I honestly don't know why. It's away from much of the state's population, but it's a gorgeous area. It's ridiculous that I've never gone, lol, so my wife and I need to go soon.
I've never been to Shreveport or Monroe. I live in Baton Rouge and am originally from the New Orleans metro area. Shreveport is the biggest Louisiana city I've not been to.
When I lived in West Virginia the only major city I never visited was Parkersburg, though I've only passed through Clarksburg and Wheeling.
I haven't been to that entire stretch from Pensacola to Panama City, and I really don't have any interest in going there either.
That is an amazing part of Florida coastline. I'd say that area is much lovelier than Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, or Cocoa Beach. Destin is particularly amazing and so is the Gulf Islands National Seafore plus Pensacola itself. I visit that part of Florida every summer since we don't have any good ocean beaches in Louisiana. Its interesting since the moment you cross the Florida border from Alabama the beaches get much better (Orange Beach is nice but not as pretty as Pensacola). Perdido Key has Florabama, there's always that.
Went to college in Ohio, never went to Toledo or Akron.
Lived in the Virginia suburbs of DC for a year, still without a car, so all I ever saw of the state was that area, and then I took a daytrip via Greyhound to Richmond once, just to say I'd seen a different part of the state.

Ha. The largest city in NC that I haven't been to is Greenville as well. According to Google its a 2.5 hour drive. Its on my list of places to visit.. as they have a BBQ place there that I've seen profiled on TV.

I'll take you word for it. Florida is full of beach communities, and it's just not a priority for me to see another one given how far away it is from me. I'd rather see something different.

Been everywhere in Vermont including all the larger towns, even in 2020, easy to cover. Other states I've lived in..
WA - never been to the Tri Cities, Clarkston, Pullman, or Walla Walla
NM - never been to Roswell, Clovis, or Carlsbad
MA - been everywhere, small state that I spent many years in, easy to cover.

Only major cities I’ve been to are Philly, Allentown, Lancaster, and Harrisburg.
No Pittsburgh, No Erie, No Scranton.
