I agree Eastern Washington on the 90 is extremely boring from Sprague to about George, then it dips down into the Columbia River basin and is mostly scenic from there all the way to Seattle.
Yes, Theodore Roosevelt National Park is pretty and it's decent all the way to Montana. East of Dickinson is bad. Dickinson to Mandan really sucks.

It seems like Cle Elem (sp?) is where the scenery gets nice going to Seattle. At least from my memory. It's been a while.

I was on I-70 in winter once. That was painful.

Surprised I-80 from Cheyenne to Omaha isn't on the list for most boring drive. Its not as bad compared to the drive from Aurora, CO to Topeka, KS.

I never found Nebraska to be as bad as people say it is. I always chuckle when people from Iowa complain about it. The eastern two thirds looks nearly identical to Iowa.

I did not realize people knew about that boring drive between eastern CO and through Kansas. It's like time stops; nothing but fields for hours and hours. Have had to do it three or four times and I would sooner go through Nebraska in the future.

The entire state of Kansas is the most boring drive. I was driving 105 did not get pulled over or even see a cop but I just wanted to get to Colorado but the state went on forever with a bunch of nothing.

US 50 (western part). This tells why:

https://unusualplaces.org/u-s-route-...oneliest-road/

We only drove it from Sacramento, California to Grand Junction, Colorado in 1986, but MAN -- talk about BORING. Almost nothing there and the scenery for the most part -- except for distant vistas -- well, what scenery?

And, imo, Ely, Nevada is (or at least it was back then) the most boring town we have EVER visited! In fact, to this day, when my husband and I must stop at a small "nothing there" kind of town on one of our road trips, one of us will invariably say, "Well, at least it's not Ely"" and we'll just laugh.

(Apologies if anyone from Ely is reading this and is offended.)

I agree. I've driven across Nebraska many times, and like you said, 2/3rds of it is no different than driving across Iowa.

Nebraska is just long if you're on I-80.

Iowans bitching about driving across Nebraska is just the Iowa/Nebraska dynamic. We hate each other and are quick to point the 5 differences between our states, but the rest of the country can't tell us apart.

The only difference between the drives is what crops are grown along the highway. Corn vs. wheat.

I-95 south of Richmond is terrible. It's just a tunnel through pine trees. That's literally it.
