I see in that article they only focused on areas of less than 30k residents. I can tell you that after all the job loss here in the Youngstown-Warren area of ohio there has definitely been an increase in drug activity. In fact, i'm sure most of you have heard about all the murders in Youngstown over the years, but i'm betting at least 90% of those have to do w/drugs and/or gangs, w/the rest attributed to domestic violence. Pretty sad if you ask me. Last year there were 39 murders in Y-town........a city of 80k. Warren, a city of around 45k, had 11 murders, 6 more than the previous year.
Unforunately, it doesn't look like things are going to improve anytime soon. Every week we hear more stories of job loss and companies closing. When will it end??????
