Hello, I am looking to move from California and I am looking for a city with a friendly atmosphere, professional job opportunities and a conservative culture. I am single having already raised my family. Thank you.

Places like San Antonio TX or Oklahoma City OK have thriving job markets, friendly people generally speaking and are very much on the conservative side as well.

Depending on your job qualifications, you might consider Salt Lake, Colorado Springs or Boise.

All 3 are friendly places with Libertarian to Conservative cultures.

The job markets in SLC and Boise are probably stronger than in the Springs.

Jacksonville, FL and Greenville, SC would probably be good for you.

Wheaton, IL is a charming city, and also extremely conservative.

I agree with Nashville and Colorado Springs. They are both conservative, friendly places, and also very nice cities. I am more familiar with Nashville however, and would say that it fits what you are looking for. There is plenty to do, indoor and outdoor, and plenty of jobs. It also has a very wide range of neighborhoods and price ranges.

Another city I might add would be Winston-Salem, NC. Having lived there for a while (Kernersville, NC to be exact), it definitely fits as well. It is smaller than Nashville, but there is still plenty to do and see nearby. There seemed to be a decent amount of job opportunities as well. It is also one of the most conservative larger cities in NC. Part of the reason I moved! It is still a nice place though.

My current city, Mobile, AL may be a fit for you as well. It is conservative, especially the suburbs/Baldwin County, and the people are friendly. It would also put you an hour to the beach! It has a booming job market right now as well.

Hope this helps!

How about the cities in Central Florida. Very conservative here especially the one I live in. Lakeland. I saw a 50 or 60 something woman, just a few weeks ago driving around here. The Florida license plate on her Lexus read GODS GRL. So that tells you she is probably comfortable living here. I've never seen that slogan on a plate before anywhere. It is very conservative with numerous churches here, and its a smaller city, between Tampa and Orlando. Many retirees here as well as younger people. Rather self contained community, shopping, medical. Rather nice here and the location, makes it easy to get to both Tampa and Orlando.
