If you read further along in the thread Desert_SW_77 posted, the comments written by Nat and Chevy start to become reinforced in that thread as well by most of the Canadian posters.
Toronto and Vancouver life closely resemble NYC or LA living in my opinion. Canadians are becoming more Americanized culturally and their cities are as well in my opinion. So much so I could actually foresr a merger within the next 50 years as "lofty" as that sounds. Pretty soon all cultural differences will be gone.
Frankly I'm observing that it's the other way around. More of America is becoming Canadianized. It's a gradual process but it's definitely happening. Eventually all of America will be more like Canada and I think that will be a better thing for everyone.
Compared to the Inland Empire?
California's Central Valley?
Orange County?
The suburbs in Texas?
Feel free to hop onto an airplane and fly over to John Wayne Airport in Orange County and take public transit to Disneyland just 14 miles away. It's just a 27 minute drive by car or a 1 hour 30 minute + commute that requires you to get on three different buses. Have fun.
No, compared to:
Omaha
Madison
Birmingham
Des Moines
Tons of other US cities
My point is that Canada has too few cities to just say that Canadian cities have better public transit.
^ every Canadian city has public transit actually. I love in a small city in ontario 2nhpurs from toronto and there's city buses everywhere, a subway, trains ect.

Kind of like the same as Americanized, only much better.
.
oh yes you guys are the best!!! bow down to Canada everyone!
Now what does "Canadianized" mean, shoot what does "Americanized" mean... Humans and their cultures all seem to greatly influence culture, i can't find it easy to separate cultures by nations.

Every American city also has public transit.
Also, what "small city" 2 hours from Toronto has a subway?!
