I excluded New York and Los Angeles from my list because those cities are so super massive that they would dominate almost every group. Many of my ?? I know these people are found in large #s in LA and NY.
Irish - Providence, RI
German - Milwaukee, WI
Italian - Hartford, CT
English - Birmingham, AL
Spanish - Miami, FL
Polish - Detroit, MI
Greek - Detroit, MI
French - New Orleans, LA
Ukrainian - Chicago, IL
Romanian - Chicago, IL
Portuguese - Boston, MA
Swedish - Minneapolis, MN
Turkish - ??
Russian - ???? Seattle, WA
Mongolian -????
Chinese - San Francisco
Japanese - San Francisco
Korean - Atlanta
Tai - ???
Filipino - Jacksonville, FL (I have heard a large Filipino population is there.)
Indian - Detroit, MI
Pakistani - Detroit, MI
Iranian - ??
Iraqi - Detroit, MI
Saudi Arabian - Detroit, MI
Syrian - Detroit, MI
Australian - San diego, CA
Egyptian - Detroit, MI
Ethiopian - Washington DC
Nigerian - Atlanta, GA
Somalian - Minneapolis, MN
Kenyan - Houston (I have heard a large Kenyan population is there)
South African - ??
Argentinian - Miami, FL

Irish(Irish Americans?) - Boston and most of the Northeast, Chicago, and the Southeast
German - The Midwest(Specifically Ohio and Pennsylvania) and parts of the West
English - Utah, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Idaho, and Washington
Portuguese - California, Massachusetts, and Connecticut
Thought I'd bite at the topic and try some of the European groups(Ancestral Ties)...
Iranian - Los Angeles(Gotta be, right?) Some of the girls are beautiful but that goes for every group I guess...
Australian - Most of the Western United States and to be more specific: Los Angeles, a large portion of the ski towns like Park City and Aspen, and the PNW? (This is where I've seen them working and so on... Thought I'd add my two cents on the Aussies.)
Chinese - San Francisco and most of the Bay Area?
Japanese and Koreans - Los Angeles?
Cuban - South Florida
I'm probably way off on some of these so don't tear me apart over my post, just a casual observation. I will say that I feel like I'm partially correct on the Strayns, Iranians, Cubans, Germans, and English. Supposedly the states with the strongest ancestral ties to the English are those in the "Mormon Corridor"... as well as portions of the PNW and New England. Also, I've heard that Whistler in BC is full of "damn Aussies"(LOL) at certain times but that is as tourists but I'm guessing a few live in the general vicinity(Vancouver) as well?

Sorry, but as a Native Floridian I had to clear this up...
First and foremost there are nearly 1 million Cuban-Americans living in the Miami metro area versus 81,000 in the Tampa Bay metro. It's quite evident where the majority reside, and where the culture is strongest.
There really aren't many Spanish (people from Spain) in the US as they tend to gravitate toward other Spanish-speaking countries and Miami certainly doesn't have any presence to speak of.
There aren't that many Brazilians in Orlando, and by far the largest concentration is in SE Massachusetts (25% of the US population), along with New York City/Newark.
Far and away the most Colombians and Venezuelans are in the Miami metro area.
Nearly half of the Dominican population in the US lives in the NYC metro area, Miami has around 15%.
The NYC metro area has by far the largest Puerto Rican population with 725K, Philadelphia is second with just
121K, Chicago is third with 102K and Orlando is tied for 7th with just 31K.
There is two ethnic groups that were not included Albanian and Arabic. the Albanians would be Bronx NY and Dearborn and Hamtrack (sic) Mich. and for Arabic it would be Brooklyn NY and also Hamtrack.

There are plenty of Spanish (from Spain) in Miami Beach alone. Can't speak about the rest of Miami, but I'd imagine in the trendier areas like Brickell there are a lot as well. I think for Spanish, Miami might be the number one city (except maybe barring NYC) for its cultural presence and image in Europe and the fact it's known for being a Spanish speaking place. I even know several, exclusive Spanish based companies, that do renovations of property here in Miami Beach and advertise back in Spain for clients, because they pay more than locals (pay above market rate).

Again Miami would have more Brazilians than Orlando.
When it comes to diversity, the Miami area is head and shoulders ahead of any Florida city, except for maybe Asians (by percentage, by raw numbers Miami is again ahead of any Florida city).

Hey, look everyone, a dictator entered the thread. You aren't clearing anything up to me. I'm also a Florida native and I have lived all over the state. I also didn't know this was a numbers game. If that is that is the case then no more than 10 metros across the nation can lay claim to every ethnic group on that list.
Also, if you bothered to read, you would have noticed I ommitted LA and NYC on purpose. So much of everything lives in those cities.
I never said Cubans aren't a significant part of miami, but when I think of Cuban influence my first thought is Tampa. You have your opinion and I have mine. Mind your own business and get a life. I didn't participate in this thread to argue with you.

Well, for Arabs, that would include Egyptians, Iraqi, Saudi Arabians, etc.
Another ethnic group that was left off the list is the Hmong who are centered in St Paul.
I've always found it interesting that Minneapolis is the most German major metro in the US and they are the largest group here, but it is more known for Scandinavians. Probably because there are Germans everywhere but only a couple of places in the country have significant Scandinavian populations.
