LA has been king of the West Coast for a good 50 years. It probably won't ever be king of the U.S., though.
Also, LOL at claiming that LA would become a great city if a football team ever came. Green Bay must be a real world class city, given they have an NFL team.
LA is the greatest Metro of our time. No other Metro has what LA has to offer: Beaches, Canyons, Mountains, Forests, Deserts, Urban/Rural areas, Diversity of Races, Sunny Weather and everything One needs. Last but not least: A short 3-hour drive from the Entertainment Capitol.
In numbers - population. LA Downtown is slowly gaining momentum on becoming what NY's Manhattan is. Especially with 2 NFL teams moving to LA (Raiders and Rams most likely) Also there are signs of LA Region being extended from Riverside to AZ border. The future favors LA in weather and open land. NY is the past, LA is the future.

I think it is pretty cruel to mock people who like LA with such obvious satire. Some people have good reason to like LA.

I think you can get to Disneyland in less time than that if you leave at 2 in the morning
Sorry but I don't see that happening ever. Just look at a side by side picture of NYC compared to LA. LA is a JOKE compared to NYC. NYC looks much more like a REAL concrete jungle of a city that sprawls for miles and miles. With a complete subway system with 800 miles of tracks, 27 bridges, 4 tunnels (or more?), five boroughs and MUCH more wealth than the LA metro area, NYC just trounces anything else in the country. NYC is both the past and future.
