umm...do we know of any cities that have survived for 10,000 yrs so far?

I think if (and thats a huge if) the human race is around that time we will be so radically different the question will have no meaning.

Well, if the coasts flood, then probably not there. The rest of the county is susceptible to earthquakes, tornadoes, just about anything.

That said, I believe the bulk of humanity will have merged with artificial intelligence before we see 2100 so I don't think there will be a need for cities, at least in the traditional, physical sense.
