Np. However, I'd imagine that, due to the US system where states share sovereignty with the Federal government and, thus, most smoking bans would be put in place at the state/local level, there is far less uniformity in smoking (or, rather, "non-smoking") policy in the US than in the UK.

How much are cigarettes in the U.S. Say in Texas for example

A pack of Marlboro lights would cost about £9-10 ( $14 ish ) in London

I found this resource (The Price Of Cigarettes: How Much Does A Pack Cost In Each US State? [MAP]) online from February 2014 of average price of pack of cigarettes per state in the US. Even accounting for inflation alone, I'm sure things haven't changed drastically since then.

In TX, the average price was $7.24, which is £4.61 today. That compares to the price of a pack of cigarettes in NY, my home state, which was more than double the cost that you paid in Texas ($14.50).

That's not true. 17.8% of Americans smoke. That's only 1% lower than the UK.

There are still 16 or so states in America where you can smoke in bars. Florida is one of them.
