Definitely not Seattle. You'll be shunned and/or bullied, unless you're very introverted and quiet. People are very insular there, even the transplants.

I'd advise against Portland too. The older locals are very friendly, but young people there are very cliquey and the singles scene is dead. Also, everyone and their cat is a musician so you can easily get a band but you end up playing shows with about 3 people in the audience because there are ten other shows and ten DJ sets happening that same night.
