Beautiful scenery. Where my cat comes from. Nice people I've met there.

I'm looking into moving up to Virginia after a few years, I'm really starting to dislike the sprawling mess slowly taking over North Carolina not to mention the current state of government. Richmond is my favorite city, too. The direction Raleigh is heading, I can't wait to get out. You can't beat Virginia if you're a history buff, too.

No its not. Most people that are not from Virginia that visit either Nova or rural Virginia have 2 different things to say. Every single time I have spoken to someone that has visited Nova has only negative things to say such as the people are rude and the traffic is horrible. People that visit rural Virginia talk about how beautiful it is and how nice the people are. I also know 2 different families that used to live in Fredericksburg. They moved because they said it was becoming a part of Nova. It wasn't like it used to be. I also met somebody once from rural Virginia and told them I was from Nova. They said "I'm sorry to hear that". I've now done some explaining which you didn't even ask for before calling me ignorant.

I hear the same ignorant statements about SW V.A like how backwater, country, redneck ect... it is, we must embrace all of the different cultures in this great state.
