Out of those 4 regions... West.

That's not the way the regions in the US really are geographically divided though. That's just the US Census, which is arbitrary.

I'd say the Southwest if we divided it up properly. Close second to the Pacific North.

Very unfair definitions of regions, especially for the northeast.

I like the South the best. The southeast florida, south/North Carolina, GA, and TN.

I've never travelled this entire country, so my answer is based on photos. The scenery of the West is most striking and beautiful to me. Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Denali, Bryce Canyon, the islands of Hawaii, Death Valley, Big Sur... I could go on.

In saying this, the entire country is beautiful.

Midwest, where the West certainly has some amazing scenery, the ugly, stomach-turning areas result in a net below-average rating for beautifulness.

West. The varied topography is what gets me every time. From sand dunes and treeless desert expanses, to the deep, lush forests of the PacNW, to the coastline, to the canyons and red rocks, to the mesas and pine forests, rolling hills to 14K snowcapped mountains... so much to love and so much to see.

I am partial to the Northeast.

From the Hudson Valley to the Alleghenies to the Adirondacks, the Presidentials, Lake Champlain, Lake Ontario, the Fingerlakes region and Maine's vast forests. A lot of beauty in a small area.

I can see where a lot of people will pick the West though, especially considering ot occupies nearly half the country.
