Wondering where the best places are to live where there is a real sense of community. One of my co workers just went on a vacation with 8 other families all from his neighborhood. Where can I find such a sense of friendly neighbors and community?
Any city with established neighborhoods (often historic) where there's an active neighborhood association that maintains events like porch parties, potlucks, community yard sales and other similar events would be my recommendation. The typical American "McSuburb" is probably the least friendly type of environment overall, though of course there are exceptions.

Well that sounds like fun! Where does your co-worker live?
