I'll be sort of tongue in cheek, but Phoenix has 3 "rivers"

There is an actual wetlands where the 3 "rivers" converge - the tres rios area. Unfortunately, a natural body of water like this has basically just been abused and trashed, but a lot of effort has gone in over the past decade to help clean it up including a festival 2x per year where they get people canoeing, fishing, wildlife watching, etc to get them interested in cleanup/preserving the area.

They have engineered some wildlife river reclamation projects as well

Here is a photo:

Now obviously our rivers are impacted by dams, water management programs and the fact that it's a desert - but the river beds for the Salt, Gila and Agua Fria all run through the Phoenix metro ......... the Agua Fria typically doesn't have any moving water in it at all in the city any time of the year as it is part of Lake Pleasant in the NW part of the metro. The Gila and Salt do at times though.

Bingo. I was in Great Falls, MT years ago and crossed it, looked at the sign, and said "What?" It is also the longest river in North America, surprisingly beating out the mighty Mississippi.
