Also, I think some of the mid-sized cities do have wonderful restaurants. I have to say, though, that I agree with the poster who said you simply can't compare food in most small towns to a NYC. I've eaten in a lot of small-town restaurants and most of them aren't that great.
I think it's a pretty good list. I would put Philly somewhere on there, though, and move LV up even higher.
Agreed about Philly. Its restaurant scene is definitely top-notch and could easily compete with several of the cities on that list (i.e., Boston, DC, and Atlanta).

I always look forward to going back to my hometown of Fayetteville Arkansas because the food is so good. Here in Seattle there are a lot of good places to eat as well as other cities i have been to, but sometimes smaller places will surprise you with their very tasty, inexpensive food!
LOL, I was thinking the same thing. Seriously, who the hell would go to Sbarro while in New York. It makes absolutely no sense. And yes, there are plenty of cheap places to eat in NYC. I mean, there's a restaurant on almost every corner!

LOL, too true! I lived in Louisville when papa johns was still a local chain, it was ok..... Louisville, for its size, really has a great food scene going on. Another poster mentioned STL, it has some really great restaurants, too.
