Given the fact that Texas is the top 10 states for highest property tax, you should get no property tax on vehicle. That would be highway robbery. The Texas tolls are bad enough.

Luckily I don't own a home here, so it's super cheap for now. No vehicle tax + no income tax + renting is pretty awesome.

My parents own a house in NC and don't pay a lot of property tax. However, they get zapped on vehicle tax and state income tax. It probably evens out. No matter what, the gov't is getting their taxes.

I am not wanting a big City, my concern is finding a job , buying a home (eventually) and public education (Which I read WI is in the top 10, Beats being in the bottom 50 hense: Oklahoma) I appreciate all the opinions . By the way good insight on terriost issues . I was actually told by some Okies that WI has an issue with Refugees who are potential "terrorist".

I considered working in Mn and living in WI (Nearest town I found was about 45mins away) any opinions on that? I know what it is like In OK to commute like that ,but we cant keep our roads clear for s#*t so you wouldnt want to do that in OK hahaha
