Just wondering what city would be the easiest financially to live in as a software developer (senior) in the USA. Right now I live in NYC and it's really really tough for even basic living.

Looking for the best overall, which city will I end up with the highest disposable income after tax, car, rent and utilities.
Raleigh and Durham. They have the Research Triangle Park with tens of thousands of employment opportunities in information technology. IBM, Cisco, NetApp, RedHat, Toshiba, Lenovo, etc.
