Milwaukee's is decent:
NBA - Bucks, there are plenty of those in the Milwaukee area.

MLB - Brewers, also representative of Milwaukee.

How about New Orleans?

NBA - Pelicans, pretty representative.

NFL - Saints, does this have something to do with the music/culture of NOLA?

As mentioned, Dallas is pretty good with their teams. Houston is ok. I wish it followed the space theme for all its teams though. I do think Denver is the best though. All the names fit.

To be fair, when the Lakers started in Minneapolis in 1947, the name made a lot more sense.

Same with the Dodgers when they started in Brooklyn wayyy back in 1884. I didn't know this prior, but Wikipedia states this:

Quote:
The team's name derived from the reputed skill of Brooklyn residents at evading the city's trolley streetcar network.

Yea. If you lowered the criteria, though, then they make total sense.

Chicago Bulls/Bears is in reference to the Chicago stock exchange i.e. Bull or Bear Market.

How? The rest are all generic names that could fit in any city pretty much.
