It is not a list of best food scenes, getting upset that places like New York aren't ranked at the top is missing the point.
It's also silly and petty. NYC doesn't need its ego stroked by a ranking vis-a-vis other American cities. If you are in NY and somehow need constant reassurance about your city, it says a lot more about you than it does the city itself.
