Perimeter Center in metro Atlanta hasn't been mentioned, probably because it is not the de facto downtown of any one city but straddles three (Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Brookhaven). It is outside the city limits, however.

It hasn't been mentioned probably because it's not a pedestrian-friendly, urban area. Some positive changes are on the way for sure but it won't ever be downtown Decatur.

All very true, and there is a concerted effort to reverse this.
Yeah, there are challenges when it comes to retrofitting areas like Perimeter but that area does have some advantages like MARTA and a pretty progressive CID.
Bellevue is indeed a suburb of Seattle as they are only approximately 9 miles apart (just a skip and hop over Lake Washington)
Downtown Bellevue is very upscale with luxury retail like Neiman Marcus, Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Moncler, Prada, Louis Vuitton, etc. along with several great upscale dining options.
Nightlife is slowly improving, however, there are still several options for a great night out. But once again, most of the nightlife tends to be posh and ritzy with a crowd between the ages of 30-50 and drinks that will run you about $10.
And I would agree to some extent that nearby Kirkland has more character and can be more enjoyable overall.
